Cosmos: Space Facts By Amara Taufner

Did you know that there is no sound in space? Pretty much Star Wars lied to us!

Did you know that you can fit 1.3 million Earths into the sun? Yeah, THAT big!

Did you know some people call comets “cosmic snowballs” or “dirty snowballs” because they are made of ice, rocks, gas and dust? Must be cold!

Did you know the first asteroid found was Ceres? Giuseppe Piazzi found it in 1801. (Don’t feel bad if you can't pronounce the name, I can't either.)

Did you know that asteroid means “star-like”?

Did you know that you can survive outside in space exposed for 90 SECONDS?

Did you know that astronauts on the I.S.S. (International Space Station) see around 15 sunrises and sunsets every 24 hours?
