Five Most Popular Sports In America

As a swimmer and a runner, I am among tons of others.  So many, that sometimes I wonder whether swimming or running is played the most. Therefore my inspiration struck as to write an article about the 5 most popular sports in America.

1. At number 1 is American Football.  Football is also ranked at the 9th most popular sport in the world.  Football can bring joy and infuriate it's viewers with teams like the Sea hawks, Patriots, Packers, and Saints from all around America.

2. The next popular sport is Baseball. Like football this is a team sport that fans get happy and angered at, when the team they are rooting for wins or loses.

3.  The third most popular sport in America is Basketball.  There is an estimated 14,000 attendance at each NBA game (National Basketball League). This being so many people loving basketball it is ranked the 3rd most popular sport in America.

4.  Ice hockey is a very popular sport in America with all the teams and players.  Some very famous and well playing teams are the Chicago Black hawks, and the Madison Capitols.

5. Soccer is also a super popular sport in America with all the teams, players, and stylish jerseys and apparel. Popular teams and players include Manchester United ( Europe), Brazil, Neymar, Ronaldo, and Wambach.
