Imagine this was you. Seven year old Sailor Gutzler was in a family plane with her mom, dad, sister, and cousin. The family was going to Florida when the unimaginable happens. Their plane crashes in the woods of Kentucky. Sailor says that when she got up her family was there and she knew they were dead. She says “ I was hoping they were just sleeping.” Sailor knew she had to get help. So dressed in shorts and a t shirt she walks through the dark woods of Kentucky for a mile until she gets to Larry Wilkins house. Larry says “She came knocking on my door holding her wrist and saying her plane crashed.” Larry then called 9-1-1.When police came they said “We're not sure why the plane crashed, but before we lost contact with Mr. Gutzler he reported engine malfunctions, but said it would be fine”
Now we know it wasn't fine. Family and friends are raising money to get Sailor mental and emotional help. Could you have been that brave.
