Mrs. Snell, a fifth grade teacher and also a advanced math teacher, had some pretty interesting things happen to her in her life. Can you believe that she went on a bike ride ALL the way through North America, that more than 4,000 MILES? That is just AWESOME!!!! What we really need to know is who is Mrs.Snell, what does she like to do, and what are her hobbies. All of those questions will be answered here where Mrs. Snell has all the spotlight.
Have you lived in Wisconsin all your life?
No,I grew up in Kansas city, but traveled all around I went to college in Portland , Oregon but, I also taught in Shane River Sioux reservation in Rapid city.
When did you start teaching?
I started teaching in 1981, that’s about 23 years!
Did you play any sports as a kid?
I did not play any sports as a kid but, I rode my bicycle, all the way through north america . -THAT’S MORE THAN 4,000 MILES!!!!! It took more than 2 weeks!!!
If you could be anyone else who would you be and why?
I would love to be a musician, writer or dancer.
If you could do anything anywhere what would you do?
I would travel all over the place, and actually went to trans Siberian railroad from east of Asia to Vladivostok in winter break!
Do you have any kids?
I have 2 sons-Daniel who is 26 is working on his PhD in neuroscience at Brown University in Rhode Island- Alexander my other son is 20 years old and goes to ribble college.
What is your dream job?
Tutoring- because i like learning how kids think
What is your dream vacation?
My dream vacation is to be on a beautiful island anywhere and lie on the beach, relaxing.
What is your favorite food?
AH lots of favorite foods but I'll tell you my Top 5 favorite foods which are: any kind of bread, chocolate, peanut butter, cheese. and guacamole.
Do you have any advice for middle schoolers?
Yes um… BELIEVE IN YOURSELF , DON'T SUCCUMB TO PEER PRESSURE , WORK HARD AND HAVE FUN!!!
